Acereare Electric new ARM5 series double break plastic-case circuit breaker
I. Product overview
ARM5 series molded case double-break circuit breaker is a new product newly developed by our company. Its design reflects the latest current limiting principle and manufacturing technology, and has compact, modular, high breaking, zero arcing, green and environmental protection characteristics. The circuit breaker is suitable for AC 50Hz/60Hz circuit with rated insulation voltage of 1000V, maximum rated working voltage of 690V, maximum breaking capacity icu and ics up to 200kA and rated current from 32A to 630A to make, break and carry rated current, and it can reliably protect lines and electrical equipment in case of overload, short circuit and undervoltage. It can also be used for infrequent starting, overload, short circuit and undervoltage protection of motor.
II. Product advantages/selling points
1. ARM5 series has further improved the reliability of power supply, and has the advantages of modularization, small size, high breaking capacity, short arcing, high reliability, good environmental protection, comprehensive functions, etc.
2. short-circuit breaking capacity at AC400V, L type: 100KA, M type: 150KA, H type: 200KA. 100KA is used for applications with high performance requirements, industrial production lines, and key electric equipment. 150KA-200KA has the industry-leading breaking capability and can be used in heavy industry and special industry.
3. This series of accessories can be conveniently installed in the corresponding position of the circuit breaker and have reliable working performance. The shunt release, undervoltage release and auxiliary contact are all made into separate modules.
4. The thermal magnetic release of ARM5-160, 250, 400 and 630 circuit breakers can be adjusted to meet the protection requirements.

Main functions and features

I. Pneumatic protection device
When the circuit breaks with large current, the gas in the contact unit box is rapidly pressurized, and the pneumatic protection device rapidly fluctuates the operating mechanism latch under strong air pressure, greatly reducing the damage of the breaking current to other electrical components and buses.
Magnetic blow design: the current flows through the fixed contact to generate an electromagnetic source, which forms an annular magnetic field arc with the iron core and quickly enters the arc extinguishing chamber under the action of the magnetic field, which is conducive to quickly break the current.

The reasonable structure design of moving and fixed contacts makes the short circuit peak value and energy of this series of products I²t much smaller than expected.


Working principle: the current flows in from the fixed contact 1, flows out from the fixed contact 2 through the moving, fixed silver contact and the moving contact. The moving contact quickly disconnects under the action of strong electric repulsion force (Holm force and Lorentz force) to improve the breaking speed.
Air blowing design: when the short circuit large current occur in the circuit, the gas producing parts will generate other gas under the high temperature of the arc, the air pressure in the contact unit box increases rapidly, and a high-speed air flow can be formed through the air outlet of the arc extinguishing chamber, which can effectively extinguish the arc.
